The life of a teenage girl changes in an instant as a strangely familiar but unknown face enters her life.

Ástríðr (Astrid) Gilbert can not understand why she thinks she knows him, but she also can't just let go of the fact that she has seen him somewhere before. She just doesn't know where. She dreams of their encounter night after night, haunted by his cerulean blue eyes. 

But Ástríðr doesn't have the time to worry about such things. No, she has to worry about her baby sister Rüna, only 3 years old, traumatized by what had happened to her. She has to worry over her younger brother, Jeremy, as he struggles with the death of their parents. She has to help her Aunt Jenna as she agonizes over the fact that her sister, Elena, has gotten herself into a kind of trouble that she's not sure she can recover from. Not to mention, all the strife that comes from being a renown composer and songwriter with her best friend, Kit.

So she can't possibly have the time to worry about something she's not even sure is true!

But frustratingly, she can't seem to push it from her mind for long, no matter how desperately she tries and tries to lock it away in her mind. She can not forget that charming smirk, his British accent, his full succulent lips, or those dreamy eyes that a girl can just get lost in. 

But Ástríðr refuses! She refuses to let some inconsequential thing like this interrupt her life! No sirree!

Little did she know, that she would fail in that endeavor...
