Clara's twisting story leads her along winding friendless paths, pushing her into danger and dismay. Confusing relationships with animals and people leave her troubled who to trust anymore. Backstabbing is now nothing new at all, and tears are no stranger either.
As though this weren't enough, she reveals a shocking decision about her parents, Luna and Neville Longbottom, who she long believed dead, and finds out she's the true rider of a mysterious animal that lurks in the forest, rarely detected by wizardkind.
