On a faithful autumn day, her parents had thought a goddess had been born in Stimonia. However, this was soon to be the greatest disappointment bestowed upon them. In a dystopian world where everyone requires branding to live, Hera is a defect. Love turned to disgust, disgust to hate, and hate led to abandonment. Through a blurry childhood under the care of a distant memory, Hera grew up quietly, always careful not to stand out. She was invisible. Defects are living, breathing curses in Stimonia. To keep the streets of their beloved city clean, the authorities send defects to Sobere. No one knows what lurks there. No one's ever come back. Why? Hera was NOT about to find out... hopefully.
