There is a place split into twos. Welhartt, a place where Cherry was born and Arville, a place where Onyx was born. Cherry comes from a place where everything is great (or so it seems like it's made that way for her). Since birth, she's stayed by her brother Ayo's side. She doesn't remember anything from when she was younger, except one faint memory of a woman. Onyx is less fortunate though. Since she was younger, she and her brother Jasper have had to fend for themselves. She doesn't come from much, but she does remember everything from when she was younger. The memories of her parents abandoning her replays in her head daily, and she swears to get back at them.

The girls meet when Armville is forced to receive help from Welhartt. The cities merge together and Jasper and Onyx are chosen live with Ayo and Cherry. Surprisingly, Ayo chooses Onyx and Jasper to move in with them, seeing that Ayo and Jasper have some history. It's a place with little technology, but lots of opportunities.
