Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. You don't know. But you want too. Determination fills you with a desire to seek more about this boy. There's just something about him that makes you want to know more. He meets your eye. Is a name really too much to ask? He refuses to give you one. If you keep investigating, you'll get hurt. You'll be killed. You'll regret it. It's not a warning. It's simply the truth. You've been noticing strange things going on. He's not in any records. A shotgun fire?! He has wounds that heal all too quickly. How can a boy get shot and heal by the very next day? (This book is a representation of my experiences with dating someone with depression in high school. I wrote it while we were dating, subconsciously writing him into the character Infinity. Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. "Why do bad things happen to good people?" You know what they say, there is a thin line between love and hate. Will these two step over the line? But sometimes, running away from your problems doesn't go down unnoticed. The very person Astrid ran away from is after her, and this time, the consequences will be worse. -- This is an enemies-friends-lovers book and they become friends early on because I find it difficult to write going from enemies to lovers so yeah. *unedited book* #1 in talent show (29/02/24)
