When Mara's ex-best friend, Garry, accidentally drags her into the path of an oncoming semi-truck to her death, she's devastated. Even more so when she learns that she's going to be plopped into another world with him in order to be a supporting role to Garry's hero. However, there is a twist in the prophesy of this world's hero. Though the prophesy states that a boy and a girl from a different world will be summoned to save humanity by becoming a hero and a support, it is never explicitly stated which person will fill what role. In a world far more complicated than it seems on the surface, Mara decides that its time for a girl to step out of the shadows and into the role of a hero.
