After around 5 when he started loosing the emotions people would feel everyday he found that the only time he actually felt emotion was when he was in fights with his peers. When he found out he was quirkless, everything turned black and white for him. On the way back from the doctors office the Midoriya family got into a car reck. Both parents died and before the ambulances or paramedics came, Izuku ran.
