Once upon a time, there was a princess. But she wasn't a princess at first. Let me tell you the story of before.
There was a man. His name was Theodore. He was married to a woman named Elaina. They were very happy together, in the little cottage they called home. The Queen of England visited them often, and she and Elaina became best friends. So when Elaina gave birth to a girl, it only seemed natural for the Queen to be her godmother.
But one day, when the little girl was half a year old, a man in a cloak came to their home, and he killed Elaina and Theodore. The little girl, however, he didn't. Nobody knew why, but she survived. Nobody knew how, but she got out of this event alive. Nobody knew, except the little girl herself.
'Grandpapa!' the little girl said, reaching out for the man in the cloak. 'My little snake,' was his response, and she was picked up and bounced by him.
She love and admired the man in the cloak, and he her. But then one day in July, the man picked the little girl up and twirled her around the room. 'I've got to go, my little snake,' he whispered, pressing her forehead to his. 'I promise to return for you, and we'll rule the dark empire side by side.' he said. The little girl nodded eagerly; and he was gone.
But he never came back.
The little girl waited and hoped, but he never did. On Hallowe'en, the little girl's first birthday, the Queen visited the cottage, only to scream at the bodies, and the little girl who looked perfectly content with playing with a hand of her parents.
The Queen brought the little girl to the palace, and brought her up as the next Queen of England. The little girl forgot her parents, the cloaked man, and everything he taught her. Instead, she learned about grammar and mathematics... See more
