Have you ever wondered what a depressed Ash is like. Well, to find out, in this story, you will see an Ash, who is totally down and upset inside putting a facade on the outside. Pikachu knowing Ash so well sees right through it.
Ash, who is already like this, has to go through the pain of seeing his mother get arrested for murder. He finds out who she murders and is not able to take it anymore. So what happens? Looking for a fresh start, he goes to Alola where a special relationship with a girl helps him turn for the better

Alola to a New Journey!
Basically, a typical betrayal story...without a betrayal, so to speak. Basically, Ash's pals think it is time to try something new. His Kalos league run got everyone so excited, only for Ash to lose. They started to wonder if a Master is the right way for him to go. Disappointed that his friends lost their faith, Ash sets of to Alola, hoping to clear his mind. When a brand new League is announced to be opened, Ash takes a chance on this opportunity to finally become a Champion, putting him one step closer to Master. This is going to be separate from canon, with some similarities. This is not going to have Ash catching a bunch of Legendarys, or using the whole ''Aura" thing, It's just good old Ash, on a good old adventure. I will include Meloetta, since it's my personal favorite Mythical Pokemon, and Ash will catch Poipole / Naganadel. I dont think I will include Melmetal in Ash's team, for a reason you'll see further in. But Meloetta wont be caught, it's kind of just along for the ride. :) Team Rocket, our loveable trio of dorks, is still a loveable trio of dorks, they just, aren't part of Rocket anymore. They are now members of Team Cook. Yep, they're cooks now. And maybe also a guest appearance from a fan favorite Ninja Amphibian? After winning the Kalos League and keeping their promise, Ash and Serena continue their journey together. From new regions, to new Pokemon, to new battles and new experiences. Whatever lies ahead, they don't know, but they will face it together. This is a sequel to my Our Promise one-shot (which you can read if you'd like for some extra exposition but it's not required). I kept looking over it and I saw more potential in it, but instead of going back to that story, I decided to keep it a one-shot and make the sequel a multi-chapter story. I don't know how many chapters I'll write, but I'll try to make it long enough to be considered a good read.
