Leaving middle school has never felt so good for Violet Reed. She's no longer seen as a pre-teen, she's reached a new level of girlhood, and she finally gets to see her best friend 24/7. That's all fine and dandy, except for the unfortunate fact that she's been forced in a room with her sworn enemy, Mary Jane. 
    
    Life couldn't get any worse for her. Now, she is struggling with the thought about losing her best friend, Katie to the boys and various bands. Leaving a trail of broken promises in the midst of it all for Violet to clean up herself. 
    
    Her plans for the perfect school year were crumbling along with her chances of turning a new leaf. Continuing along with the pains of Boys, Bands, and Broken Promises. Join her along on this trip of self discovery as she embarks on the toughest year of her life.
