Many people long for a bigger and better life, especially as a young child and occasionally even a blossoming teen. However, this rule does not seem to apply to the young, starry eyed Violet Asaki. She has everything she needs: somewhat loving parents, good food, a roof over her head; and of course her whole entire world, her best friend Varian. And these things are something that simply cannot be pitted against leaving everything you know and love behind just to pursue a dull adventure. Why would you? However, reality seems to believe otherwise; and with the sudden threatening presence of mysterious black rocks with apparent magical properties in her village, Violet's world is completely flipped upside down. With the King arrogantly ignoring the arising crisis; Varian becoming unrecognisable, as well as her battling her confusing arising feelings for her best friend, and Princess Rapunzel, who promised to fix all of this mess now suddenly out of the picture, Violet must take matters into her own hands when a crazed demon shows up completely out of nowhere, threatening to destroy everything and everyone that is dear to her for seemingly just for the fun of it. Yet arising from the chaos is a princess with amethyst hair and her loyal handmaiden; and they may be able to fix everything with a startling revelation that may change Violet's view on who she thought she was, forever......... *Note, I do not own the rights to any of the original characters from the show, they belong to Disney, however, all of the original characters and work are all my own, do not steal.

Just about 1 year after his fall and arrest, Varian alone in the darkness of his cell, longs for one thing. Meanwhile Cassandra's now endless power rises up, as she swears revenge on Rapunzel for what happened so long ago. Note: This is based off Tangled the Series which if you don't watch it you will be very confused. Sorry this thing isn't very good, it's my first fanfic. If you do somehow end up reading it, and wether you hate it or kinda like it, please tell me what you think! Cover art is not by me! I am so sorry for stealing this in the past, if you somehow see this do forgive me! ~ 2025 Edit: Wow, it has been a hot minute. The series finale just hit its fifth anniversary, and as I was thinking about it I remembered this fanfic existed. ...this is certainly a piece of work, lmao. Between the writing style being very reflective of my age to the self-deprecating comments I wrote about my own writing to the stolen cover art (my sincerest apologies for that, I am going to change it but the original is by @codynaomiswireart on tumblr) it is beyond me what was going through my head when I wrote it. It is for that reason I found myself shocked to see it with thousands of reads and comments, which thank you for by the way, I did not realize there was this much demand for moon Varian lol. For now I intend on leaving it up solely because it is hilarious to me and a good reflection on what was at the time a very important show to me. In the present, a lot of my love for the series has been somewhat diminished, due to many factors. But I won't deny what it did for me then, as I have moved onto, what I am hopeful to view as far greater artistic pursuits lol. In the meantime, thanks for reading all this, and I hope whoever is still reading Varian fanfiction in this economy is living their best life. Thanks a ton, Milo

Varian (Tangled x OC) *Could easily also be read as a x reader story. Before I tell this story, I might as well preface by saying it's likely that you're more familiar with my older sister, Rapunzel. I'm sure you know the story, princess of Corona, and her incredibly long magical hair with legendary healing powers, stolen away from her family by the villainous mother Gothel and kept locked in a tower far from home. All of Corona for many years grieved over Rapunzel's abduction, and as far as the kingdom knew, the only heir to the throne was gone forever, never to return, leaving no one to proceed their rulers. But little did Corona know, just about four and a half years later I was born. I'm Sabrine, by the way.

Cassandra is Rapunzel's lady-in-waiting and personal guard at the same time. The princess was meant to marry the crowned prince of the Dark Kingdom, Varian. Everyone in Corona knows how much the Princess loves her boyfriend, Eugene - even her parents knew of this but a deal is a deal. A war might start if it weren't fulfilled. Rapunzel was sent a month early to the particular kingdom with her lady-in-waiting by her side. Rapunzel wanted to spend the time she have left with Eugene so the ladies did something reckless. They switched. For a month, Cassandra would act as a princess while Rapunzel as a lady-in-waiting so she could sneak out to meet Eugene. They were going to reveal the truth after a month. It was all part of the plan. What if things don't go the way they expected it? It was supposed to be just a month and all pretend to Cassandra, but as days passed by, why is it that she could never get the prince out of her mind? It's a Once Upon A Switch love story.
