We have all heard or read of the original story of "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe, however; what exactly happened to Montresor that caused him to seek revenge against Fortunato? This is my story of a "before" version to one of Poe's greatest pieces of literature.

(Previous title: "Sunshine - A New Dawn for Remus Lupin") Remus Lupin survived a war, raised a son, and went back to teaching. Back then, I used to write fanfics (during classes!!! Oops! Even so, I still got good grades! haha) about Remus Lupin and a character entirely inspired by me, called Mary Hallow. In one of those fanfics, set in the Marauders' era and called "Memories of a Marauder Wolf" -which I'm currently trying to rewrite, but it hasn't been easy-I worked through my teenage traumas with the story I wrote. Although nowadays I only read and write 'Remadora' fanfics (Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks), I decided to revisit Mary Hallow to work through my adult traumas (or as I like to say, 'exorcise my demons'). So, even though this Mary Hallow no longer has a certain issue that defined her in my older fanfics, many of the things in the story are-once again-things I personally experienced. Basically, it's just another 'fanfic' to complement my therapy sessions. LOLComplete
