Faktore Arjintskif is a Ranger, a member of a protective guild that operates all across the kingdom of Tryfeldor. The Rangers are the bridge between the King's Army and the town guards; they operate above the law and beneath royal decree. They are law enforcement, bounty hunters, and monster slayers. And Faktore is the very best of them.

Operating in the small city of Woodston and the forest around, where seldom anything happens, Faktore's life is largely simple--aid the town guard and do what they cannot. But this changes when a vicious attack sweeps through Woodston, burning half the city down and killing hundreds in a single night.

Now, Faktore embarks on a quest to track the cultists and assassins across Tryfeldor, and bring them to justice, but even the legendary Ranger Faktore Arjintskif cannot anticipate the challenge of fighting the Huntresses of Alabastra...
