Set 175 years in the future, where the toxic radiation in the air alters certain humans according to their blood type, giving them different enhanced abilities, 16-year-old Elpis Yates discovers he is the only remaining protean prodigy left in the country and must escape his home city and its corrupt government who ultimately want him dead.
