The Elsecomer fae broke the world 25 years ago, conquering and stealing all the big cities. A kid I used to babysit just Changed into a mountain troll, but hasn't eaten anyone yet, and she wants someone to ride with her to the maximum security prison where the military keeps useful strangelings. But the Box isn't what the outside world thinks it is, and the guy running things there can tell I'm not who I said I was on my paperwork...

The setting for this world is inspired by mainly by post-apocalyptic sci-fi, Shadowrun, and Changeling: the Dreaming. I've tried to create a complicated world, where everything has changed and is still changing, with dramatically competing interests and plenty of monsters but no clear cut villains. Industry has been largely destroyed so solarpunk and permaculture ideas are included.

Content warnings: People swear, drink, have sex, and sometimes use drugs.

As of late May, the book is about 2/3rds written (40+ chapters) and I plan to post a new chapter every day or two. Really looking for feedback, please leave comments!

** This is book one of a three book series. The other two are on Amazon but I started writing the story on wattpad and wanted to keep it here for memories. Enjoy! ** _____________________________________________ "Beautiful women always fall for me." Sarcasm was laced in her words. "Glad to know i'm just a number to you." He stopped crawling beside her and dropped his joking manner as he saw the dark haired girl had grown visibly upset. Kandor shook his head, "I don't dream of you that way in the slightest, Chrissa." Her eyes shifted to his lips, and then back up at his eyes. "W-we shouldn't get distracted." --------------------------- On a dark night before supper, princess Chrissa's world turns upside down as her palace is being invaded, and she suddenly has to flee from her murderous fiancé Stephen who is only after one thing. A sacred thing. Her palace ring-so that he can reverse time, and become the most powerful in all of the land of the Fae. Quickly, it is learned she needs to flee to Endlaysha-where all the other royals go to hide. As she's being accompanied by a dashing palace gaurd-Michael, feelings arise that she wishes would go away. Chaos occurs as they are captured by the Vampire King, and he takes them as prisoners. I've dreamed of the perfect marriage ever since I was a little girl: a marriage complete with a hardworking husband while I tended to the home and our children, preferably four little rugrats to call my own. I dreamed of a life filled with laughter, joy, and success, a life we built together. I dreamed of growing old next to my husband, creating a great love story to tell our grandchildren someday. It all seemed so possible. I was raised to be the perfect wife, after all. From the outside, it seemed I had exactly what I dreamed of with the rich, determined husband; the brilliant, gaudy diamond ring; and the beautiful home filled with the hope of future children. Yes, it was all a dream come true. I should have felt grateful, really. The problem is, I also wanted a marriage based on love, passion, and affection, but those are the only things my husband cannot give me . . . . . . because they're reserved for her. For readers: * I do my best to proofread before publishing, but some typos and errors will slip through. Feel free to point them out! * Comments, active engagement, and helpful critiques are welcomed. * Mean, unnecessary comments that attack me, personally, or other commenters will be ignored and deleted. It takes a lot of courage to publish your work and for others to actively engage in a community. I'd like to keep this a safe and fun place to rage at imperfect heroes and cheer for darling heroines! * I'm not a spicy writer. I rather use my word count for plot, character development, and GROVEL!!! * Most importantly, I hope you enjoy the little world I'm creating. Happy reading, everyone! ADS/Imaginationgirl35

Book 1 of The Shadow Series. Myths, that's what the humans called it, but for Ashe it quickly became her reality. Her life changing transformation narrowed her paths down to two; She could either embrace her fates and save the people she's grown to love, or she can walk away and live a somewhat normal life while others suffer the consequences. How far is she willing to go to create peace where there's never been any? Will she even create peace? Or will she help encourage the most brutal war the Shadow Realms have ever experienced? Several years of Asheland's childhood had disappeared from her memory. She assumed it was her brain trying to protect her from a traumatic event, although that's true it's not exactly what she expected and her brain wasn't necessarily the cause. After being homeless until she was sixteen years old, then living in a boat dock for four years, she had finally found her home in a cottage in the near-by mountains of Wolf Creek. Everything seemed to be going well. However, as a list of secrets begin unraveling when Ashe gives in to her overwhelming urges to visit the island that terrified almost every citizen in Wolf Creek, her life becomes more complicated than she could've ever imagined. All of this just because she was turning twenty-one. Nothing was as it had ever seemed. * excerpt from the book * { "Why do you make such reckless, impulsive decisions?" The old man asked as we watched the moon. "The world could end tomorrow and everyone expects me to live in fear today? There's no life to live inside the box of fear, there's no freedom in there," I replied softly. }
