James Kaylern, a multi-doctorate medical doctor, fights for his own life alongside with the lives of the Resistance to the Forshen. The Forshen, an alien species that invaded Earth five years after Kaylern's third year of official work, control the entire planet and force humans to work for them. If a human misbehaves, they're immediately either killed or imprisoned.

Only a handful of survivors made it to Origae 6, one of them the mining engineer Jules who lost her husband.
