Messengers are beings that do not have a name. They do not have emotions and the sole purpose of their existence is to deliver letters to the afterlife to free the loved ones of the departed people from the pain of their loss.


Simultaneous unfortunate events happened to Alison's life. First, she was fired from her job, then she was kicked out of her apartment. If that is not yet worse, she was robbed while trying to find a new place to stay. As hopeless as she is, she is about to kill her own self by jumping off a bridge when a mysterious man comes and offers her a deal in exchange for her soul.


Alison then finds herself working as a Messenger, beings whose sole existence is to deliver letters to the afterlife. Part of her contract includes learning the ins and outs of her job within a month, but little did she know her soul is slowly being extinguished as days pass by.
