Wars Inside You (Published Under Ukiyoto) de adfinemfidelis

Lying on your bed. Looking at the ceiling. Thinking about where did everything go wrong. Each night has been a remembrance of what you are ----lonely and empty. Life is neither a lap-of-luxury nor a tale of rainbows and unicorns ----this is what people have learned as they get older. At the age of 8, children want to grow faster believing that freedom lies with age. At 20, young adults start to get lost. They stand in the middle of somewhere called lost and forgotten. Who knew they will get tired at their age? In 30's, people think they are running out of time. Everyone seems like settling down. Success has been on other people's spoon except for them. At 40, responsibilities keep piling up. It goes from the beginning with its ending unknown. Life continues at 50, 60, 70 and so on. Time to compare what they become to what they wish to be when they were younger. Aren't we all lost? Lost in love, in pain, in regrets, in emptiness, and in what ifs brought by varied wars we are battling with. In the end, what's more painful than loneliness? Isn't it the feeling of emptiness? How it made you feel so free, so light floating like a vest in vast ocean yet feeling so small, so little, so useless in every step you take on the ground. Pick up your armor of courage, wear your clothe of bravery, arm yourself with faith, and shoot them with your true self. ROOTLESS ay isang malalim at makabagbag-damdaming kwento tungkol sa isang tahimik at introvert na binatilyo na piniling makilala bilang R. Isa siyang panganay sa isang sirang pamilya, araw-araw na saksi sa ingay at away sa loob ng tahanan. Tahimik sa labas ngunit gumuho sa loob, si R ay lumalaban sa depresyon, anxiety, at glossophobia, takot magsalita sa harap ng iba.

Tula para sa tunay na pagibig, tula para sa mga salitang di masabi ng bibig, at tula para sa mga taong umaasang baka bukas siya ay nasa iyo ng bisig. Tula para sa mga taong mahahalaga, tula na iaalay para sila'y mapasaya, at tula na mananating sila ang bida. Minsan, may mga saloobin tayong hindi kayang ipahayag, mga damdaming nakakulong sa ating mga puso, lalo na kapag ang tinataglay natin na lihim na pagtingin ay para sa isang tao na tila hindi man lang natin kayang abutin. Kung ako'y tatanungin, napakahirap magmahal ng isang lalaking alam mong hindi ka niya kailan man mapapansin, parang hangal na naglalakbay sa isang landas na walang patutunguhan, naghahangad ng isang pag-ibig na tila hindi para sa iyo. At kaya, upang kahit papaano'y maibsan ang kirot at sakit na dulot ng pangungulila, napagdesisyunan ko na lamang na magsulat ng isang daang tula. Ang bawat pahina ng aking mga isinulat ay nagsilbing saksi sa aking pagmamahal, na walang kapalit. Sa mga tula, doon ko ipinadama ang bawat hibla ng pag-ibig na walang tugon, at doon ko ipinanganak ang mga salita upang mapawi ang mga sugat ng pusong walang hangganang paghihintay.
