The rich grow richer while the impoverished are trapped in a cycle of poverty, despite all strategies to skedaddle; that is the tragedy of life. Every single day, there are billions of people rushing to work for the rich and they are paid just enough money to keep them poor and wretched.
This narrative explores life on the post-colonial fringes of the third world. Through the lens of Peter Fonkam, a young innocent caught in the crossfire, it delves into the interplay of turmoil and peace, joy and sadness, abundance and scarcity. Born and raised by middle class parents, his life had been smooth, but the reality of his corrupt world, will soon take him unaware. Maybe money is not everything, but in his world, it sure seems so.

In the beginning, at the first instance of existence, a god arose from his slumber; The Mighty Yiba ( The god of wisdom). He had been hibernated for 50 million light years because he was bored of existing alone. As a child, I spent the majority of my childhood days in a small village caring for all the animals and farming the land. It is my vow that I will live a luxurious life when I grow up.
