During the day Owen acts tough. He's a womanizer, a ladies man, immune to emotions and connections, unaffected by anything. But Jack knows the truth. The personality that Owen portrays is just his way of protecting himself from pain. Deep down his soul has been badly damaged by the death of his fiance, and he is a sweet, sensitive man with severe anxiety and depression. After every working day, Jack and Owen meet in Jack's office to talk through the day's events, to allow Owen to vent about whatever pent up emotions he has built up throughout the day.
Each chapter will detail the aftermath of an episode of Torchwood.
The premise is basically just an excuse for me to write a story that's pure hurt/comfort and angst, with no plot (you'll have to watch the episodes for the plot lol).
Jack and Owen are in an open relationship, allowing for Jack to flirt with Ianto and Owen to sleep around without either of them getting jealous.
WARNING: mentions of mature themes such as violence, rape, sex, grief, and mental illness. There may at times be graphic descriptions in Owen's flashbacks.
SECOND WARNING: don't expect regular updates. I'll only have time to work on this when I'm ahead of schedule on both A Blue Hope and Iroh's Holiday.

Left alone the half Gallifreyan tried living on her own, and she did for some time, until Torchwood found her. That's when project T.O.M. began and The Outcast became known as subject 20-15-13. After that everything went worse, the experiments, torture, insults, and then the Doomsday Invasion. That's where Outcast's story picked up again for the better, surprisingly, and with her unlikely friend they manage to escape with the chaos of Cybermen and Daleks around them. Will it grow worse for The Outcast once more when Torchwood Three finds her or will her distrust of Torchwood be changed? Her friend loved her new home, but Outcast wasn't one to trust others easily. In fact she just wants to leave the past in the past to find a better future away from those she hates, but of course when aliens attack it won't be easy to just leave Shylah behind to face the attack with the Torchwood members.
