It's hard to look back on my life. Maybe it was because I was so young when I died or the fact that I had a plan in life, and I was going to get somwhere eventually. It's sad to think that I'll never have kids, or go to college, or find a husband, or do anything really. I guess just looking at my death is hard really because, well, it was really unexpected. I am, or was, Jessie Rainy and this is, I guess, my story.

16 year old Jessie Rainy finds herself unexpectedly jumping out from the shadows to save her brother from an insane gunsman at her school one day. She sacrifies herself for her brother, hurtling head first into the bright light. Jessie finds herself trying to cope with her death as she watches her family and community mourn from the other side, until she is told of a way to get back.
Follow Jessie as she makes her way through her death, and maybe she will even find herself falling back to a life she didn't expect she would ever have.
