A Art History student, a devoted and whimsical painter Jung Woo-young, finds his muse and inspiration, painting him over and over again, The picture of the heartless prince in Korean history Choi San, forever taking up his mind, Wooyoung finds himself dreaming of the painting to the point of obsession and hyperfixation on why the Silla prince was so hated and so empty, but there was this connection this unexplainable feeling anytime he paints him, why did his heart ache for him? Was he beginning to love a prince that died so along ago, what did this mean for the young art student who couldn't sleep, was he insane or sick? or both, or was it all just in his head? Who says they couldn't love art, as the art of romance? he wanted answers, and what it meant to be truly in love.
Due to indescribable circumstances, Wooyoung finds himself being teleported into his beloved painting, the fictional world becoming real, and embarks on a long journey of self-discovery, self-love, and a corrupted mythological Joseon Dynasty.
With high political tension, and high magical tension, Wooyoung finds himself with the 'mark of Cheol'
