Aliana Bailey and the Axe of Perun

Aliana Bailey has always lived a mundane life with her Aunt, Uncle, and Cousins ever since her mom died when she was 2 years old.
10 years later, her sort of friend Vera Collins saves her class from drowning in an accident that she somehow caused. It turns out, her and her friend Elie are daughters of people who where at some point possessed by Slavic gods in order to kee the legacy alive? She tells them about a city for people like them in the Middle of Slovenia where they are safe, and how if she doesn't come with him in a few days her life will be in danger. In danger from the monsters of SLvic mythology, which sounds stupid until they are attacked by Ovinnik, which are fire demons.
She is ecstatic about the opportunity to do something with her life other than live, get a job, and die, but at the same time, terrified at the prospect of Monsters being real and having to leave her sort-of-family.
Before she knows it, she is living in Varno in a house with all of her "Siblings", trying to find her place in the strange, foreign world.
But apparently, good things can't last. Perun's Axe is stolen from him right under his nose, and unless someone finds it, then the very world could go to war with itself.
With the help of Carson, and her new friend Gretchen, Aliana will travel the world to find the Axe of Perun, before it is too late.
