❝ Despite her name meaning love, Dasom has never experienced the complex emotion.

Having spent her entire life in various foster homes amid the city of Seattle, she never understood the importance of connecting with others. She never formed a connection with any of her guardians, only spending a handful of weeks with the majority of them before moving on to the next home. Then she stumbled across the Hamilton's who were a middle-aged couple fostering other teenagers her age.

She blamed her biological parents for abandoning her in the dumpster behind the police station on the Fork's prom night of 87'. Perhaps if she had been raised in a stable home with parents whose affection was genuine and not stilted or awkward. Perhaps she would have developed better communication skills and would be able to express her feelings through words instead of actions of courage and flirtation.

In hindsight, it wasn't Dasom's best idea to send a risqué photo to her friend who always found amusement in tearing apart her flaws. However, the act of public humiliation caught the interest of the bronze haired immortal.

If only the enigma of a boy wasn't apart of the family that she despised, she would've understood the significant role he played in her life. ❞
