Ashley didn't expect her first kiss to be like this. Her best friend's lips on hers, his arms around her. Her eyes wide open just waiting for him to step away, and apologise, and put the whole this behind him. She expected her first kiss to feel like something, to feel like anything but this kiss was just... it was nothing. She didn't feel anything toward him, she loved him, but there was nothing there.

Ashley's life is simple, happy and makes sense, that changes however when her best friend Josiah asks her to be his girlfriend. She doesn't have the heart to say no, so she's thrust into a relationship with a boy who loves her, whom she has no feelings for. It's all made a lot more complex with the addition of Talia, the beautiful girl she met at a cafe.
