When Ciel Phantomhive, a third year high school boy, finds a Deathnote, that was dropped from the shinigami realm by a shinigami by the name Ryuuk, he decides the world needed a change. He would use this book to get revenge on the people that killed his parents.
After a while of using the deathnote, people around the world have started giving Ciel the name, "Kira", the wording given to the Japanese by the English word "Killer".
When "A", a brilliant young orphaned teenager, suddenly appears and threatens the new world Ciel wants to create, Ciel has one goal; find A's true identity and kill him.
