Shortly after the school year starts Thea Drew's mom forces her to move from their apartment in New York to a small town in the middle of no where Canada. After hearing a story from Max, a guy in her math class and soon to be best friend, she starts seeing wolves everywhere. Is she crazy? No she finds out on her 17th birthday that she is part of the shiftrer race that she has read about in books and that she is prophesied to be Mates with a very good looking man named Eric. But she just can't accept him, she may have Lacey's wolf but she doesn't have her heart.
