"I can't do this anymore. I'm always in danger, and I'm terrified, Brandon."
He sighs and shakes his head, looking away. "I know, and I'm doing my best to protect you. I don't want you hurt, Tammy, and I wish I could protect you better, but this is my best."
He looks defeated, and I can't help but to feel like I'm the reason for it.
"This is my fault." I whisper, shaking my head. "If I had just stayed out of the woods, I would've never met you, and none of this would be happening."
He growls and pushes me against the wall, his eyes turning black. "Don't you ever, ever say that. You're mine, Tam. And I don't ever want to hear you say those words again."
