Middle school was torture for Hinata. He was bullied, beat, and outed. His dad hates him for being gay, but his mom accepts Hinata no matter what and tries to stop her husband, but that doesn't really go well.
His father gets a promotion causing them to move towns. Hinata is so grateful for that. He wont get bullied for being gay anymore cause no one will know, and his dad wont be around as often either. All of that plus being in a volleyball club is exciting. He thinks he has it figured out and that everything will be fine and dandy...
