Raven's past was never one of normality. Living as one of the three Storm children with a father who trained you as an assassin for the first 16 years of your life will prove that to you, to say the least. Raven was one of the first to successfully leave that life behind (with, although they'll never admit it, major difficulty) and keep their younger sister close by.

If you discount the constant looking over their shoulder and the need to run for eternity, They have built themself a semi-ordinary life. Albeit not as high stakes as some things, their current priorities happen to include juggling the nightmares of the horrors not many will ever need to face along with finally opening the heart that for so long has been closed off - even if it was for good reason. But of course their past has to keep biting their ass in more than one way.

(note: I started writing this like,,, 2 years ago and only just decided to post the first parts of it - it may be finished off one day but for the time being have this :D )

Macha just wanted her mother dead. Was that really too much to ask? Tossed out on her ass into the Outerlands as a little girl for being a bastard. Yea that came with some trauma and long lasting issues but she worked through all that. Really. Sure, she may like blood and war a little more that was normal but come on! She's an Unseelie Fae, she was practically born this way. After a long exciting journey she organized *cough* conquered *cough* the Outerlands into a functioning society. Into the Kingdom of the Banished Fae with her ruling as their rightful Queen and everything was great for a time. Truly. Until her birthmother decided that she didn't deserve to be Queen of anything which ended with them battling it out and Macha getting tossed into a maximum security prison. Bummer. Now having escaped prison, Macha is dealing with the fact that very old feelings for a certain asshat are springing back up like a bad joke and that she must rebuild her entire kingdom. But she has to do it right this time and that means telling her people who she really is if she wants them to follow her into a war against her mother. A woman who refuses to let Macha be and plans to wipe her entire existence from fae history. 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐨𝐬. 𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Ruana Ambrose was the very epitome of chaos. She may not have powers, but that didn't mean she didn't know how to cause trouble wherever she went. As a powerful warlock's Familiar - something that was considered to be a myth - it wasn't uncommon for people to hate her very existence. Not only that, but she was a Raven, a species that was outlawed in the kingdom of Valoria due to being spies. While all ravens could shift, there was one thing she couldn't do. She had no powers. And that would be her downfall. Amroy Damaris was one of the most powerful warlocks the Continent had ever seen. He was ruthless, and coldhearted, until he was around those he loved. With a raven for a Familiar, it's the perfect chance to spy on the Royals and stay two steps ahead. But sometimes, she was much more than he bargained for. She was cunning, charming, witty. Dangerous. A lethal combination. He shouldn't have felt the way he did, but he couldn't resist her. He was drawn to her. She would be his downfall. But after multiple attempts against Ruana's life, they realize there's a traitor amongst their midst. And soon, they are in a race against time to figure out who is attacking her, and most importantly, why. Love and loyalty are put to the test as they work to figure out who has put out this hit on Ruana and stop them before they finally succeed. {MATURE LANGUAGE} TW: Dark/Sensitive subjects Alcohol usage
