"Okay...?" I made a confused face, not really getting it.
"Are you a fan of mythology?"
"Oh my god you're a goddess. I should've known! From the comment in your car! I...Wow..." I nodded, sure in my answer.
"No...That's not it Phoebe. It's...It's really much different."
"What is it then?"
"...I am a monster," She let go of my hand, the reassurance suddenly gone, and I felt cold.
"What do you mean?" I furrowed my eyebrow, reaching out for her hand without realizing it.
"I'm a vampire," She stared me dead in my eyes, "Nothing like Twilight or any movie or...any romanticized version of such. I am dangerous...And..." She looked down, and seemed very ashamed, her shoulders sunk into herself.
"What?"
"I'm sorry..."
"What is it?"
"I...If I had a choice I never would have, you must understand that," She looked at me, "But due to the situation at hand, it was the only option. It was that or you died."
"What did you do?"
"I turned you," She looked up at me, "You're going to be a vampire."
