She has a condition called Grinertia, and it makes her extremely miserable, functioning with a 'happy face' as her life was truly just horrendous. She gets greeted at her dorm by another student affected with the same condition, Percy Ramirez, which in turn, they are dorm mates. As the story progresses, things go downhill as Fara discovers a chatroom with a singular user to it. "Anon I" as dubbed by the chat was a spread hoax at PMC that was a true artificial intelligence bot that had 'horrifically realistic' mannerisms like talking to a real person. Fara gets sucked in but all goes horribly worse at the single request Anon I proceeds to give.
