This is not a fantasy, this is the reality. Surfing in the dating world, giving love to different people, I forgot there's one person that deserves it the most--me. Amber's Apocalypse - A Travelogue Companion to This Is The Fall
April 22 I've been walking for days, they're still tracking me though. i sleep high in the trees, I double back, walk in the river, cover my tracks, start false trails...it's all slowing me down but it's really the only chance I have. I'm on foot. I'm alone. The day the grid went down I was in the mountains and I stayed put for over a month, unable to contact anyone. The electricity is out, the phones don't work, no running water, no cars, no radio...nothing. It's dangerous to go into towns now, survivors are scared, starving and dying by the thousands, but their bodies seem to just disappear. Sometimes I hear screams in the night that sound like they come straight from the depths of Hell, and the scent of sulphur and rot rides on the breeze when the heaviest clouds block out the sun. I think it's the thing that got Dan...the thing that's almost gotten me. Whatever it is, it's completely unnatural and I just know I have to stay ahead of it or I'll be just as dead as Dan is.Complete
The Days With No Sun
Sometimes we fear truth over reality. But things get dark and heavy and we play the blame game. We end up hurting others or ourselves even. We don't think before we act or we don't say before we do. This is the evolution of my madness. A cluster of rants and thoughts and poems for you guys. Roses and Thorns.
He tightly grabs me by my waist and he holds me in place while I still continue to get captivated by whatever it is that is happening here. "Tell me what you see." He commands in a voice that sounds so beautifully smooth and pleasant to listen to. My words are choked up and I can't even begin to explain what lies in those eyes of his. Something about his presence is reeling me in, pulling me more soulfully closer to him, something that i am not even sure is possible but I feel this connection to him, this ancient ancient connection, like I had seen him before, like I had known him for a long time, a life time. And the way he's holding me !!! He feels familiar and yet I don't even know who this man is and it would be crazy if I told him that I've seen a Storm in his eyes, a storm that I had never seen anything like it in my life. It was beautiful and enchanting. Everything that he Is at the moment. "Nothing... I didn't see anything." I lie, as my mind fully gets back to me again, and the storm finally dissappears. He let's go of me and i move to stand on my own. He looks at the features all over my face before he furrows his thick brows, in concern while he continues to stand awfully close to me and gosh he smells so good. A huge strike of lightning echoes outside before immediate rain starts pouring outside. I could have sworn that there was a zero percent chance of rainfall tonight, it was clear and there were no clouds insight, the ocean below the balcony starts to get angry too as the waves get aggressive and the moon looks as vibrant as ever right now. We both look outside before we look at each other again. "Are you sure that you saw nothing ?" He asks and I nod my head at him. "Nothing..."Complete
Northern Exposure: The divided
Without warning it began! The inevitable, I think it's fair to assume this book is not in my possession. This means I'm most likely dead. Most nights I wrestle the reason I have chosen to explain what happened, the things we did to each other, things no human being should witness. I Wright this simply to enlighten your poor soul and give you more of a chance than I had. A chance to survive what is most likely the brink of human extinction. Times are harder now and as the days go by we are less of our former selves. We have become husks floating around in a lost, desolate world. I look at this place and it still seems so alien to me, as the days roll into the nights I'm still unsure of how we got to this point. If you are reading this, you too are probably North and very much aware of what has happened to our beloved city. I feel a responsibility to inform you that you will most likely share the same fate as I have. I understand you may be wondering what's worse than death, trust me in this place death seems like a paradise compared. I do not know why I still feel so obligated to write this. To be honest most nights I think its just an escape from the madness, like a natural sedative it's the only way I can fall asleep in this hell. However I do need to clear my conscious and pay dividend for my demons. I need you to know what happened to me; I need you to know what we have become and what we are capable of. I need you to know why we have chosen to kill each other, why the smell of human flesh lingers in the air like slow roast pork on a Sunday afternoon. Why bodies litter our streets. Why things that seemed to be so impossible happen in front of our very own eyes. Why conformity i this place is the unreal ideas people live their lives by and why I was included into this group of youthful abominations. All of this might be irrelevant compared to what I am about to tell you.Complete
Finding the Fallen
Kala had always thought of herself as normal, but when the world ended, cleansed by a power most would fail to understand, she realized she was far from normal. That day, Kala awoke in a fog surrounded by a nothingness that permeated every pore of her body. The only sounds she could hear were her own ragged breaths in the vast and empty darkness. Power to control the elements. Power the likes of which she had only seen in movies or read about in books. Despite her disbelief, it remained...right there in the palms of her hands. Eventually Kala learned to use her power as it was intended. As she wandered the new world, she met others like herself, other Servants with similar abilities who understood the reason for the destruction...for the loss. And then, six years after her world turned upside down, she met him. A handsome stranger in a tiny town in the middle of the West Virginia woods - not a Servant - not like her. And certainly not the type of man Kala had expected to find herself falling for. But the man she met there turned out to be more than just a hero in her time of need. At her side, he would become a protector, leader, confidant, and so much more. Together, they would find themselves fighting a growing evil...a man like Kala, who had been granted power beyond words or description. He might have been a good man once, but his fall was nearly complete. And now he desired only to rule - not to heal. This man would lead a small army against them, but they wouldn't have to fight alone. There was another, more powerful force on their side...one that could change the course of the war to come.Complete

Are children naïve and are adults wise? When you ask yourself what is normal and what is not, you realize that all you think you know is relative. Theft is a sin to the saint, but to the thief it's his profession. To the sighted every sunrise is a future but to the sightless it's a memory. Money is God to some and colorful pieces of paper to others. But most relative of everything is time. No one really knows it, yet everyone lives with the illusion that they possess it. Where does balance rest and is there a golden mean? How do we find our way to the truth about the Universe? The path is short: just close your eyes and look with your heart. Do not live as though every day is your last but rather as you have just arrived and eternity is lying ahead of you! Let your heart lead you on, have no fear but just dream. Fading into time
BASED LOOSELY ON THIS PROMPT: A long time ago, every human had wings. When you were born, they were white, but they changed to all colours of the rainbow given what kind of life you live, from a light yellow to a dark blue. However, in this time, only stumps are left, coloured in a muddy grey. No one remembers why humans left their wings, and no one cares anymore.
