The ninjas, Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, and Y/n, initially sceptical of their abilities, must set aside their differences and work together. They discover they possess elemental powers, and master the art of Spinjitzu to combat the Serpentine threat, although Y/n has not unlocked said elemental powers, yet. * * * All your life you knew the Brookstones.(IK that's not their real last name, but it sounds better then 'Bucket', soooo) and for the longest time, the Brookstones son, Cole was your best friend. And what felt like forever, you had a crush on him, but you didn't want to tell him, out of fear he didn't feel the same way. (In this story, when Cole goes away he isn't found by Sensei Wu till after you.) When one day, you went over to his house, and his Dad said that he had gone away to the Marty Oppenheimer School of the Art's, which didn't sound right. After a few months, weird stuff started happening to you. One day, you were approached by an old man, claiming that you were an Elemental master, and that you needed to train to be a ninja. At first you were sceptical, but after some thought, you went with him. After about a month, the man said he wanted you to meet some other people like you. You didn't know what you expected, but you didn't expect Cole to be one of the people you were to meet. The man probably didn't expect you to know any of the people, but when you ran up to Cole and hugged him, you could say, it took him by surprise. quick note, you have two brother's, one older brother, and one younger brother. Kai grieves, he does not know whether Cole is alive or not, he doesn't know if he's okay. He deeply misses his close friend, he remembers reuniting with him after the ordeal of the elemental powers, he remembers why they spent so much time together, why their bond was so strong. But he was gone, and there was nothing he could do about it.

The next morning, though, Arin, Sora, and Wyldfyre find out all the ninja have turned back into kids and carry no memory of the merge or most of their time as the legendary heroes of Ninjago. Now, with the help of Cole, Arin and Sora must look after their youthful teacher and his friends while trying to find a way to turn them back to normal.
