Secrets have always been present in the palaces of great empires, why should Asgard be any different? In the wake of the battle with the Vanaheim rebels, Sigyn finds herself becoming more than just a healer in the courts of the kingdom. The spirits of the realms have never been better and there is peace at last thanks to the God of Thunder, Thor. But even in the wake of all of this joyous activity in the Odin household, an evil force, greater than they have ever encountered, moves against the Nine Realms in the form of Sigyn's beloved; Prince Loki. The behaviors of the recently returned Prince distresses the maiden who fears to lose him as she did Theoric; there seems to be a new lie at every turn. A sacrifice is demanded, but who will pay the ultimate price?

Asgard- home of the beautiful. Home of the gods and goddesses of the Norse Tales. Buildings built in gold and quartz, the wealthy wearing lavish robes with silver and gold embroidery. Each of them mean something else. It's a very sweet way they can express emotions to each other." Loki laughed quietly. "Midgard can truly be backwards at times, but they are amusing." He nodded to the flower she had just essentially brought back to life. "What does the gardenia symbolize in this language?" "Young love," she answered after a moment of hesitation. "Secret love." At least that is the thought of Loki Odinson, but his father clearly has other plans. In a political move aimed to unite Vanaheim and Asgard, Loki is betrothed to the youngest daughter of the royal family of the neighboring realm, Vanaheim. Loki, who doesn't even know if he believes in love at all, finds himself in a very odd position, especially because he's met his betrothed before. A marriage date is set, but both the bride and the groom are less than satisfied. Can love grow out of circumstance? Sigyn, queen of Vanaheim was completely unimpressed with the 'peace offering' that was currently chained up at the foot of her throne, panting and coughing on her silk robes and looking away in either frustration or humiliation. Either way, this man was clearly not as willing a peace offering as Odin had previously said. Perhaps it was the bleeding, cut eyebrow or the bruised jaw which was covered with a mouthguard that gave it away. Odin himself was standing to the side of the throne room, looking rather impressed with himself, his eyes flitting from the chained man to the unimpressed queen of Vanaheim, waiting to gauge her reaction. Sigyn allows Loki, forgotten prince of Asgard into her home and life, bonding with him and eventually allowing herself to enjoy his company, but as time goes on things become more complicated and more problems arise, but will they be solved? Or will it blow up in their faces, only to be forgotten again? I don't own marvel, Loki, Thor, Odin or Amora, even Sigyn is taken from marvel (but lets be honest its much better than the wet paper bag that is comic book sigyn) and Lord Balinir is my own creation.
