Getting There (Amaryllis Competition: Round 3)

Everything I am about to tell you is the truth, and only the truth.

I might have stretched a few things, so be aware if anything seems too cliché.

I, Hunter O’Brian, a twenty year old Los Angeles raised drug dealer, who still got into Stanford and Berkley, traveled to New York to adopt my orphaned best friend.

I know, this already sounds bad. Trust me, it gets worse.

Then, while in the airport, I realized that I left the money I had collected in my other wallet. Then I got lucky. It was almost as if it was a miracle. This old man came up to me. In his hands was a package. He said that it had been cleared by security, and if I took it on the plane, he would give me, the twenty thousand dollars I needed.

Of course, being the slightly sensible person I was, had serious doubts, but, also being the slightly crazy person I was, I took the package.
