This story takes place after the main storyline of Monster Hunter World and at the beginning of the Iceborne expansion.
As the Sapphire Star investigates the Legiana crisis, rival hunters VIRGIL and HORACE unwillingly embark on an assignment to uncover why large monsters are developing tendencies to rape one another. This startling behavior thrusts these combative hunters on a journey that will test their rocky relationship as well as drain their patience and willpower. As these hunters continually communicate with their fists rather than words, Virgil and Horace are about to understand that all is fair in love and war.
