I was born into a hopeless world. No one knows where they will get their next meal or if they will even be alive the next day. They don't care about us, they only care about themselves. It didn't used to be like this, or so they say, people like us used to have a say. It didn't matter wether you owned land or could only afford a loaf of bread for dinner, all people were created equal, or so they say.
They say it's our fault we live like this now, that we started the riots, we started the war. It was us that drove them to bomb our states, raid our cities. They said we could of changed the way we lived, if only we stopped fighting, but that was a lie. We were taken from our loved ones and put into sectors, this tore our people apart. Instead of uniting and fighting against the ones who did this, we turned against each other. Now no one is safe and no one can be trusted

Will Claire prove to be strong enough when her allegiance is put to the test by a boy she never thought she'd fall for?
