Y/n a 14 year old teenager with a huge imagination and love of transformers animated was similar to any other orphan. Living in a dull orphanage with bratty 'siblings'. She was all alone, even though she was crowded by other kids. Only three of all the orphans she could trust and considers actual family. 

The only place she could go was an old clockwork store ran by the only adult who cares about her. But what happens if some small robots come into her life?

As the two of them work together, they both face their weaknesses and the many trials thrown at them by an interdimensional threat and some domestic ones. Optimus has a harsh life as the bearer of the matrix and Temptest struggles to be the symbol of freedom she once was. Alongside them, one Megatron works to protect his adopted family while the other tags along, fighting and testing them in hopes he'll find what he lost in his own dimension. The bots imagine that a terrible villain is on the prowl, but struggle to figure out who.
