destined to die

Lazira, a descendent to Zahhak, the evil incarnate, is destined to save her clan. Prophecy says she'll die in her best friend's arms. Laughing it all off all her life, it was impossible for her to fathom how it'll all come true. How it'll all change lives and possibly, end hers.

this is a short story inspired by Richard Siken's work. I've always loved the quote and I really wanted to wrap it in a figment of my imagination. This is the very first time I've put my imagination into words. Although cringey at places, I've tried to make it as read-worthy as possible. Hope y'all enjoy it.
