One second, two seconds and the world had gone silent.
Dark irises of the richest andesite meet mine, half-lidded gaze suddenly widening to silently showcase his own surprise.
His hand is rough to the touch, just as I had presumed--calloused palm grazing over my skin so agonizingly slow.
The feeling is coarse and his voice meets my ears in the same grainy manner, volume dropping to barely above a whisper when those sable brows furrow into a more annoyed expression.
"Caught you." The man bites out, water trickling down his soaked figure and filling my senses with that lovely petrichor.
