In a futuristic, war-torn Earth, Iris, a girl with pale skin and supernatural abilities, grows up isolated in a government facility-taken care of by her father for thirteen years. Just when she finds the world she lives in as boring and lonely, the facility is destroyed right before her eyes, causing her to flee, alone, to the outside world she only dreamed existed. Using what her father has taught her, Iris must learn to traverse this broken world of government soldiers, alien robots, and peace-loving solitarians all at odds against each other. In a world so vastly different from what she imagined, where she herself is different from almost everyone else, Iris must find her place in it and learn what it means to live.
