Ambrose is a fellow orphan in a run down ram-packed orphanage full of rowdy untamed kids. So when a weird gypsy women tells him he has a chance to go to a posh school with cool tricks or something he takes every chance he has and jumps into the world of magic.
Of course it isn't as simple as that however, with enemies, books and a ridicules amount of homework it's going to take a lot for stupid by definition Ambrose to wrap his head around.
(This book if major slow burn, like years and years and years and yea- you get the point)
