A story by Shanny-chan, this story takes place in a futuristic world with dystopian themes and people who have adapted unusual superhuman traits. In a world ruled by the Virtual Vortex those who did not fit in were wiped outs. Threats to their precious reputation were not left standing. If you were stronger, smarter or overall more powerful then they deemed normal you would soon meet your end. VV started the abnormal growth of powers and they were trying to stop it in the least humane way, by wiping the race of Crystalers off the face of the earth. How will the ones left standing survive in a world full of backstabbers and people who were taught that your very being is a threat to the world?

I know this is different from my usual content, but I love this web series. This is my first time trying true fanfic, so I can't promise it'll be as good as my more original stories; however, I will still do my best to stay true to the original's content. This is also my first time dealing with some swearing, and I will keep it restricted to the ones used in the show. Additionally, I'm sorry to burst your bubbles, but this is NOT a reader x character story, it's only a reader insert. Finally, this story will have slower updates since I have to wait for the next episodes to come out; I unfortunately can't see into the future. Plot (Y/N) is a worker drone living in the bunker with his mother; however, calling the place safe is misleading because not only are the savage disassembly drones constantly trying to get in, but every few weeks someone goes missing without a trace. When (Y/N) is dragged into the den of the beasts terrorizing his home, he's soon forced to go down a long and twisted rabbit hole, while discovering that there's more to him than meets the eye.
