Brooklyn Tavarez has always lived in a small town she just never went to the school. Until she had to.
Join Brooklyn as she grows up in a mostly White Town seeing few of her color, where she has to face that she's a different from everybody else more than just her skin color, has MULTIPLE crushes, struggles to figure out why she was able to beat death and finds her pace in her family. This is a coming of age story starting from kindergarten to 9th grade. This is based on true events but names, places & some parts have been changed.

Two stubborn people, different lives a terrible situation that brings them together and changes their lives forever. Maya is an 18 year old girl trying to live a normal life in a war torn country. Maya has no clue where Knox is or that he has the means to get her out of her current situation. She works hard, she's determined and she survives all that life is throwing her way. She grows as an independent, confident woman with something to prove. Her luck turns around when her family is accepted as refugees to America. Will she look for Knox? How will they meet? His dad is the main person concerned about the future Luna skin color. His abusive dad threatens to kill his mate if she's of color so is his preference in dating based on avoidance of conflicts ? The moon goddess doesn't give him a mate based on what his father will condone. When he meets his black and Mexican mate... he hurts her, bullies her, and most importantly Rejects her. Rejection from your mate can feel and lead to death of your wolf. At first she thinks he's just scared and doesn't take his rejected too hard but it still hurts. He takes her virginity that night just to turn around early in the morning and treat her like she was just a piece of meat to him. He makes sure that she leaves the house feeling worthless to her alpha mate. Little does he know she's got a thing for revenge and tends to go too far. How far will she take the disrespect and lack of feeling loved? Is he always the bad guy ?
