Here we will encounter the life of 15 year old Castiel. With an embarrassing secret: He has Hydrophobia.
He enters into high school. He needs a Physical ED credit in order to get his diploma and graduate from high school. Ironically, he was put on the swim team. He informs about his condition, and instead of an actual swimmer, he's a manger of the team.
When the team goes to the pool for the first time that year, he spots the fastest, the best, swimmer of the team, Junior, and team Captain: Dean Winchester.

At Castiel's first day of school he already got in real trouble with a group of mean students. -------- Sam and Dean didn't have the best life. Their Dad was almost always gone and if he was there, there was yelling and a lot of getting punched. In school Dean acted the bad boy but when he was alone his world broke together. He was soft and hurt. Even though he was Sam's protector. Never would he ever let anything happen to Sammy. He took blame for stuff Sammy did just to keep him safe. Safe from their Dad. Every since he was little he wrote stories about monsters and demons and angels to escape from the beatings of his drunk father, John. After he lands a job at his little brother Sams high school, he meets the one and only Castiel Novak. He can't help but notice his magnificent ocean blue eyes, and the way he tilts his head when he's confused about something, or his raven black sex hair. Dean couldn't help but feel an ache in his chest every time he sees him, but he had no clue why. Castiel Novak only had two years of school left before he could finally escape the hell that is Sioux Falls High School. Every since he moved here he's had a hard time making friends. After all, being gay wasn't a good thing to be at his school. He would constantly get mentally and emotionally abused by his classmates. Two more years, he kept telling himself, and then he would graduate and get a degree in fine arts. When the new English teacher, Mr. Winchester, shows up Castiel immediately takes interest. Maybe, it was his gorgeous Emerald green eyes, or his ashy blonde hair that was always spiked up perfectly. Whatever it was, Castiel knew he would like this new teacher. During a dangerous case with Sam and Dean something goes wrong and Castiel goes missing, this isn't like the other times Cas has disappeared, this is different, it's strange even for Cas. With Castiel gone Dean doesn't eat or sleep he just drinks and prays wondering if Cas can hear him. Day and night he checks the newspapers and police reports from every city, and county in the US for any sign of the trench coat angel. With no leads things become even more bleaker. Dean throws himself down a hole, and Sam is becoming increasingly worried about about Dean so he seeks out help from from another angel to see if they know anything about the whereabouts of Castiel. Castiel is lost he doesn't know where he is or who he is. He just goes where his feet take him. He never eats or sleeps but he doesn't he have to, he doesn't know why he doesn't eat and it doesn't bother him much cause it would just slow him down. He remembers nothing about Sam or Dean or even himself for that matter, but something is itching at the wall in the back of his head trying to break through, it wants to get out but can't. He gets fragments of things every so often but they are of pain and torture and a redhead he doesn't know the name of. One day a pleasant memory comes through the cracks in his wall he can't place where it came from. The only thing he knows is he needs to find the man with the stunning green eyes. Oblivious, Dean launches into a new relationship with a girl he meets at the mall one afternoon, and it tears Cas apart seeing Dean with her, especially when it looks like for the first time in his life, Dean is getting serious about a girl. Charlie, being the good friend she is throws a party and invites Cas. There's an interesting guy there that catches Cas' eye. Sweet fluff ensues, and it's soon after that Dean learns Cas' biggest secret. He is also faced with emotions he has never felt before, especially in regards to Cas. He finds himself jealous and angry when he sees Cas with Luke, and at his brother's suggestion he decides to confront his true feelings for his best friend, and tell him how he really feels. There is a lot of pain and heartache in the beginning for Cas, but I swear it ends on a good note. I hope you all enjoy!

Lots of overdoing. Castiel Novak was a 22 years old bass guitarist in a band called "Kings Of Purgatory" with his best friends Dean, Gabe and Benny. The band was gaining popularity and the guys were getting more and more famous everyday; but there was a problem. Cas had been crushing on his fellow band mate for 4 years now. It wasn't THAT bad at first. Yeah, Dean didn't probably didn't share his feelings but he was still there, right next to him, every day; which was more than enough for Cas. Until he, like the flick of a switch, wasn't. Now Cas was overanalyzing, and overthinking; why was Dean being so distant to him all of a sudden? // this is a destiel au (alternative universe) with lots of sabriel on the side. there are no monsters, no demons, no angels, and especially no wendigos *audible wink* in this fanfiction. there are no deaths, no self harm, no triggers I know of, mild swearing, and no smut (except it's hinted). if there is anything that bothers you with this fic, please message me. also if you spot any mistakes or triggers, again, message me. if you would like to leave constructive criticism, please do because that will be very... constructive.
