Virgil Cassidy is an international superstar for his music and personality, all while being a huge introvert. Roman Walsh is a musical theatre actor and college kid who was a fan of Virgil far before he became famous.
A public statement is made by Virgil that dating isn't for him after getting played multiple times just for money and attention, and as a celebrity, he doesn't know exactly who to trust anymore except, of course, for his best friend since childhood, Patton Ambrose.
When Patton introduces him to a small artist by the name Janus Seymour who just so happens to have a superfan named Roman for a friend, Virgil's entire thought process is flipped on its head.
There are more layers than the general public sees, and there are suddenly two more big problems that appear.
Is Roman worth his trust?

When it wasn't his home life giving him anxiety, it was life in general. He grew up in an abusive, unstable household and had learned to walk on eggshells around everyone he met. This was why he only had one friend, Patton, who he could really confide in. Virgil was as angry as he was anxious about life, and both sides of him could get extreme. Unhealthily extreme. Roman had a complicated mind, and his thoughts were much louder than normal. If there were one word to sum him up, it'd be 'confused.' Though he keeps a smile on at all times, his mind constantly interferes with his attempts at simply being happy. Because he had nothing to compare his brain with, he couldn't determine if something was wrong with him or if it was completely normal. After spending several years in a stable environment they're moving again, this time not only are they leaving behind friends but also their mother's grave. On top of having an overprotective family he has to navigate being the new kid in his senior year of high school, making friends, falling in love, and learning how to save a life. Roman, the young and popular dashing king is lonely and is in search of a queen or king. The two bump into each other on accident and worlds collide between the two. When Virgil's master finds out it only brings hell for the star-cross lovers with a curse and a whole lot of trouble standing in the way between the two.
