After the last battle of a war, the young pianist and soldier Hajime wakes up in a hospital.
He is invited to live with a family until he regains his strength, and there in that home a painful realization leads to a new start.
It's a short story, but it became longer than I expected. Hope you enjoy.
If I have the time, I hope I can write the actual music for the piece written by Yoshima. Feel free to provide me with ideas!

'Shouto starts to feel it-the hum in the air, the thrumming in the ground, mixing together inside him. One last person joins the band onstage. Shouto's stomach flips over. This guy must be the drummer. He's got a riot of blond hair partially covered by a faded grey beanie. Multiple piercings in each ear. Black, low-slung jeans with ragged holes in the knees. Black, sleeveless Van Halen t-shirt, the standard Douchebag Cut, made for the gun show. This can be forgiven. His biceps beg to be put on display. It would be a crime to cover them. Finally Urakaras paranoia gets the better of her has he discovered her steamy night with his best friend? Does he know she's not that sweet girl she once was? She can't take it no more and snoops through his dorm room for any proof he may have, only to find his secrets through music... she's caught by the queen of 1a Mina and they discover his secrets with everyone else from class. I don't own the characters, art or music. This is my first story all rights to the actual owners. This story is based after season 7 with bits of season 8 inspiration In this they are still living in the dorms to complete their year they missed due to the war and to assist with recovery. To help him recover from his injuries, his father decided to take him in Tokyo and to closely monitor him already as he had been lacking enough time with him due to his work. Three years after he had his accident, Miyazono Kaori returns and learns that Arima Kousei does have a different girl as his girlfriend. He also soon learns that his life had always been in danger. Will Kousei be able to express his feelings towards Kaori, and can she save Kousei from his hell before it is too late? ----- As you can tell, this is an alternate retelling of Your Lie in April. But the fates have been reversed (and before you ask, Kousei is the ill one, not Kaori, who is far from that in this story), which will make for quite a gripping, if not heart-wrenching story, maybe more so than the original. ----- Please note, I do not write fanfics often, but I feel this is a story the needs to be told.
