The Laurens. They're a normal family. Father, mother, son. Everything's fine, right? Right..?
For John, an occasional hit or kick from his father wasn't by any means abnormal. Despite his mother's attempts to stop his father, John was just used to it. After his father was arrested for drunken assault, life got a little easier for a while. He could go out on dates, spend more time with friends, not have to worry about being manipulated... but the memories were still there. They hurt. And things were about to get a lot.. lot.. harder.
