Reave is caught in a precarious situation. He's a once in a generation warrior, training to be an Alioth, the most battle-hardened force in the galaxy. Yet he hides a terrible scar from the past. A past that has awakened and threatens to consume his future.

Junia Barteau, an Alioth in training, wants nothing more than to become an Alioth and right wrongs of the past. The wrongs that claimed her mother's life. But to do that she has to survive Alioth training alongside a band of classmates she wants nothing to do with. Classmates like the insufferable Reave who sees the world as a joke.

When a threat rises to claim all life in the galaxy, can these two unlikely partners in arms look past their differences and unite? Will they crumble under the pressure that falls on their shoulders, or will they rise to the occasion?
